I would like driving directions from Indiana USA to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil?

I'm plannin a roadtrip with a bunch of friends, and we don't really know how to get there. Google Earth doesn't give directions out of the United States. I need turn by turn directions with road names, and if you have information on the location of gas stations and restaraunts, that'd be helpful as well.

Also is there a difference in the type of fuel used outside of the United States, for example: lead content, or octane amounts.

We need to know about passports, and drivers and vehicle's licenses as well.

Also, what are the Marijuana laws and age of consent laws in all places between the US and Brazil including Brazil.|||The first problem is that you will need a boat. The Panama Colombia boarder has the Dari茅n Gap and does not have a road across it , It's a thick rain forest.

The Pan American Highway is the easiest route http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pan-America鈥?/a>

When in Buenos Aires take a ferry to Colonia in Uruguay and Uruguay Highway 1 to Montevideo. Then take Uruguay Highway 9 and Brazil Highway 471 route to near Pelotas, from where Brazil Highway 116 leads to Rio de Janeiro.

Most of America has the same octane amounts, which are different to European standards. The costs is very different though and availability isn't the same, never let your car run below 1/4 full if possible.

You'll need passports and visas on entry, these can be gained usually at the boarder but things change so check out with embassy's before you leave.

The Vehicle will be fine as long as it is road legal in the USA, although you will have to buy a permit to travel through some countries, available at the boarder.

Marijuana laws are the same as in the USA, only more strictly enforced since you are a foreigner. The age of consent is 16. Also the age of drinking is 16 - 18 depending on the country, most are 16.|||I'm going to suggest you get an internation road atlas and plan your trip the old fashioned way.

Yes, there are different fuel types availabe in different states as states have different pollution laws. But it shouldn't affect you besides paying a few more pennys for gas in some areas (particularly the north).

You CANNOT get leaded gasoline anywhere in the US to my knowlege, and you can always chose between regular, silver and premium gasoline. But I've heard the higher octane values are only important if you have a muscle car.

You will need passports. I know in Mexico, it is absolutly imperative that you get the Mexican insurance before driving in that country, or you risk the chance of going to jail, even if its someone elses fault.

As far as I know, Marijuana is still illegal in all these countries, and the penalties in Mexico and South America are very stringent.

By age of consent, I'm assuming you mean for drinking or sexual relations? In the US it's 21 for drinking and 18 for about everything else.

I recommend you get a travel agent to help you with this adventure. You will definitly want someone in your court if you should run into trouble. Seriously, for a trip like this, I'd work with an agent or take a group tour.|||how do u plan on getting to brazil from the u.s.? u cant drive on water|||Head for Mexico and keep going south.
